Or am I in the heaven or in the VeganNation!?

Honestly, I’ve been feeling like I’ve won the lottery for a few days now. Pretty much for two weeks straight. Why? Because one day, my phone rang – an American number – and on the other end was Isaac Thomas of the VeganNation!

Why does that make me so happy?

Because about 17 days ago I found out that there will soon be a vegan cryptocurrency. And since I’ve studied this topic for a while and wanted to invest in a cryptocurrency, it just felt too perfect to be true. So I started to send questions to VeganNation on all social media channels and lo and behold – all of a sudden I got answers and the said call from Isaac – THE MAN HIMSELF!

Isaac Thomas is the co-founder of VeganNation and inventor of VeganCoins. This new way of thinking about currencies interests me. So I told him about Mallorca and our growing vegan community, and suddenly he said: he’s coming to Mallorca to meet with me and take a closer look at the situation here.

Said and done. Now I am sitting here two weeks later, editing my video of our interview at Villa Vegana and want to pinch myself. So much has happened in the last 48 hours. Sometimes in life, you’re just in the right place at the right time, and that’s exactly how I feel.

But let´s slow down a little and start from the beginning:
I had no idea about all these topics (Cryptocurrency, veganNation, VeganCoin, etc) until a few days ago, but I still dared to interview Isaac and ask him all my questions.

What is VeganNation?

VeganNation is or will be a platform that will use blockchain technology to connect all the vegans in the world, helping them to make their lifestyle easier and more cost-effective. A vegan land of milk and honey without a particular place, but all the more diversity! Pardon the pun.

What is the VeganCoin?

The VeganCoin will be the currency and the driving economic factor of this platform. A purely digital so-called cryptocurrency (for more information you might want to watch this 5 min video on Youtube about Crypto.), which works decentralized and without any regulation by governments, banks or the like. In times of banking crises an exciting alternative, don´t you think?

„The VeganCoin is expected to have its so-called ICO (Initial Coin Offering) on June 28th. Then the tokens (= the digital coins) are sold at 50 cents each to as many vegans as possible,“ Isaac explains to our audience on May 22n 2018 at Villa Vegana. Before the 28th investors and people with more than 250,000 euros investment volume can buy tokens in the so-called „pre-sale“. Ordinary people like me, will probably not participate, but wait until June 28th and go Coin shopping for the minimum sum of 100 Euros then.

Why should I join in there?

Even if you do not have the money to buy VeganCoins either as an investment or as a form of payment, you can and should participate. „Anyone who contributes valuable content to the community, be it through recipes, articles, or restaurant reviews can make money on VeganNation. Also, by recommending the platform to other vegans, you will get incentives and paid with VeganCoins if the community likes your content!

So Nobody needs to feel excluded. Everyone can join and bring the vegan world community closer together. Why is that so great? Well, we’re much stronger together than we are alone. In particular, the economic power that we can potentially achieve with it is impressive. This is how we change the world!

Companies can announce today that they will accept VeganCoins and do not have to pay anything. Neither for software, nor for transactions, nor for worldwide advertising through VeganNation. So the network grows at lightning speed and becomes a new, vegan economic system.

A platform where you can easily find and buy EVERYTHING and ANYTHING – cruelty-free of course. And the third pillar is sharing „content“ with all vegans across the world via our platform.“

Why is this such an exciting time right now?

Even though co-founder Isaac Thomas would never make the comparison, I feel like I have the unique opportunity to be part of something great… A bit like the Bitcoin pioneers. You know … those who now sit on millions and smile from ear to ear all day long.

What happened in the past 48 hours?

I picked up Isaac at the airport in Palma on Monday night and started our vegan Island tour right away. Our delicious dinner at the organic restaurant „Compost Vegano“ – which will hopefully accept VeganCoin in the future – was the perfect start.

The next day we went on to see the highlights of veganism in Palma: Palma´s Vegan Supermarket LoVegano, Ziva to Go, Vegan & Raw, the restaurant Bon Lloc, the deli Mymuybueno … everyone was thrilled and showed great interest. Then we drove to Villa Vegana in Selva for our talk. (The Video will follow shortly – so stay tuned!)

On Wednesday morning we went to the Temple Natura – who also want to participate with all three businesses – and then we went to the Crypto Summit Mallorca.

When I was at the conference at the 5-star Hotel Llaut in Arenal, I learned a lot about Crypto, the fears surrounding this new kind of currency and the people who are already in it and on fire. More about the Summit another time.
